About PRo Global Media

PRo Publications International Ltd was founded in October 1996 by Paul Brown (the ‘P’ in PRo), and Robert McCaffrey (the ‘Ro’ in PRo), to publish Asian Cement Magazine, and in March 1999, PRo organised its first conference, the Global Gypsum Conference in Bangkok. The company has since organised over 25 conferences and exhibitions, in the UK, Barcelona, Geneva, Prague, Berlin, Dresden, Krakow, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Tehran, Mumbai, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, San Francisco, Cancun, Miami and Puerto Rico, the largest attracting around 450 visitors.


PRo Publications now publishes a number of business-to-business magazines and directories, and organises around ten conferences and exhibitions per year (see propubs.com)


Starting in 2004, PRo began to offer its magazines for free download to registered users around the world. Global Cement magazine was only the second magazine to gain an ABC digital distribution certificate in the UK, and was one of the first to achieve this anywhere in the world. PRo Publications International was the winner of the Periodicals Publishers Association's 'Most innovative route to market' award in 2007, presented at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, in May 2007.


PRo launched a new business in 2006, with the announcement of a ground-breaking event - The Retirement Show. The first show took place in July 2007, and was a resounding success. The event will be repeated three times in 2008.

PRo Global Media is to launch another four shows in 2008: The Family Show and The Green Show, which will be co-located at Olympia II at the end of May 2008; The Football Show (Alexandra Palace, August 2008); and The Shoe Show (Olympia, October 2008). See you there!
